Skoda to unveil next generation Yeti in 2017

There are reports that the photographs found in the car are most likely the next generation of Skoda Snowman, and this model should be available in the international market before the end of 2017.

Sources add that the Czech car maker could choose the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show to showcase their new car, and as one can see, it will be huge deviation from the present car. While the differences do not end with just the looks, the next Yeti will be based on the MQB platform which will get the car to shed a significant amount of weight. As the new iteration of the car will be bigger, expect it to be more spacious for occupants, and also hold a bigger boot.

Skoda admitted that their designers have borrowed a lot of cues from their Kodiaq, and we agree that the two cars do look similar. Power for the next-gen Yeti could come from tweaked powertrains that are currently in use in their saloons like the Octavia. Expect great packaging from the Czech brand when the new Yeti surfaces in the market, and stay glued to CarTrade for more news in the time to come.
