Maruti Suzuki Ignis variants details inside
The Ignis, one of Maruti Suzuki’s most awaited model has finally been launched in the country in four variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The new model which has been the talk of town is available in petrol and diesel engine options. The base variant (Sigma) will however be offered only in petrol engine option. The variants are explained as follows.
Unlike any other Maruti Suzuki’s base variant model offered at regular authorised dealership, the Sigma (base) variant offers much more than you would expect. The Ignis crossover hatchback will be sold via premium Nexa outlets, the base variant gets features like manual AC, electric power windows on the front, cup and bottle holders. As for safety, the vehicle gets ABS with EBD and dual airbags as a standard feature. Additionally, the automaker has also provided ISOFIX mounts for child seats. As for engine configuration, the base variant will only be offered with 1.2-litre petrol engine which is mated to five-speed manual transmission.
The Delta variant of the Ignis carries forth all the features from the base variant while additionally offering wheel caps, 2-din infotainment with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, 2 speakers, dual coloured dashboard, electric wing mirrors, security alarm system and 60:40 rear seat split and rear power windows. The Delta variant is available in 1.2-litre petrol or a 1.3-litre diesel engine option. Moreover, customers can choose between 5-speed manual and an automatic gearbox.
The Ignis Zeta variant goes a step ahead and additionally offers start-stop push button system, keyless entry, four speakers, parking sensors for the rear, defogger at the rear along with a wiper and 15-inch alloys. The appearance of Maruti Suzuki offers two-tone color scheme, chrome accent grille and fog light housing. The second most important variant will also be the Sals and the plastic-clad wheel arches. This variant is also available in petrol and diesel with manual and automatic transmission options.
The top-spec Ignis Alpha variant which is offered in petrol and diesel engine option, will only be offered in manual transmission option. In addition to all features in the Zeta variant, the Alpha further offers projector headlamps, LED DRLs, puddle lamp, auto climate-control and height adjustable driver seat. In addition, it offers reverse parking cameras, climate control and a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system.
